Nordic nRF52840 Processing

The Nordic nRF52840 integrates a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 processor operating at up to 64MHz. Its hardware floating-point unit, 1MB internal Flash and 256KB RAM provide suitable resources for Bluetooth protocol stacks, sensor processing, embedded control and compact machine-learning applications.

Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth Mesh

Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity and an onboard 2.4GHz antenna support communication with smartphones, computers, gateways and compatible wireless peripherals. Bluetooth Mesh support enables development of distributed lighting, sensor and automation networks when used with compatible software.

NFC Connectivity

Dedicated NFC pins provide access to the nRF52840 NFC interface for compatible external NFC antenna circuits. This supports applications such as device identification, tap-based interaction and simplified wireless-device commissioning.

GPIO and Peripheral Expansion

The board provides 11 PWM-capable GPIOs, six ADC channels, UART, I²C and SPI interfaces for connecting sensors, displays, actuators and communication peripherals. An SWD interface supports compatible programming and hardware-debugging equipment.

Low-Power Battery Operation

The board can receive 5V input through USB Type-C or operate from a compatible 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery.
