XIAO MG24 Sense Pre-Soldered Matter and TinyML Development Board

The XIAO MG24 Sense is a compact, ultra-low-power wireless development board based on the Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 SoC. It combines a 78MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, Matter over Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3, a six-axis IMU and an analog microphone. Pre-soldered headers make it ready for smart-home prototyping, TinyML development, wearable electronics and battery-powered IoT projects.

Matter over Thread Connectivity

Matter over Thread support enables development of interoperable smart-home products such as smart locks, lighting controls, thermostats and wireless sensors. Arduino Core compatibility provides an accessible environment for developing and testing connected applications.

Multiprotocol 2.4GHz Wireless

The EFR32MG24 supports Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 and Bluetooth Mesh. Its onboard ceramic antenna simplifies compact installations, while the U.FL interface supports a compatible external antenna when required by an enclosure or installation environment.

Six-Axis Motion Sensing

The integrated six-axis IMU provides acceleration and rotational-motion data for posture detection, gesture recognition, activity monitoring, wearable controllers and responsive home-automation systems.

Analog Microphone for TinyML

The onboard analog microphone supports sound detection, voice-command experimentation and audio classification. Combined with the Cortex-M33 processor and hardware AI/ML accelerator, it provides a compact platform for suitable edge-AI and TinyML workflows.

GPIO and Peripheral Expansion

Nineteen multifunctional digital and analog-capable GPIOs support external sensors, displays, relays and actuators. One I²C, two UART and two SPI interfaces provide flexible connectivity for compatible XIAO accessories and custom embedded hardware.

Ultra-Low-Power Battery Operation

Typical consumption as low as 1.95μA in a properly configured low-power mode supports intermittently active wireless sensors and portable IoT equipment. The integrated charging circuit enables use with a compatible rechargeable lithium battery.

Hardware Security
