Matter over Thread Connectivity

Native Matter over Thread support enables the development of interoperable smart-home products, including lighting controllers, thermostats, environmental sensors and security devices. Arduino Core compatibility provides an accessible platform for creating and testing Matter-enabled applications.

Multiprotocol Wireless Communication

The EFR32MG24 wireless subsystem supports Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 and Bluetooth Mesh. Its onboard ceramic antenna simplifies compact installations, while the U.FL interface allows a compatible external antenna to be connected when required by the enclosure or operating environment.

GPIO and Peripheral Expansion

Nineteen multifunctional digital and analog-capable GPIOs support sensors, displays, relays, actuators and communication modules. One I²C, two UART and two SPI interfaces provide flexible connectivity for XIAO-compatible accessories and custom embedded hardware.

Ultra-Low-Power Battery Operation

Typical low-power consumption of 1.95μA under an appropriately configured operating mode makes the board suitable for intermittently active wireless sensors and portable IoT equipment. The integrated charging circuit supports compatible rechargeable lithium-battery applications.

Embedded Hardware Security
