MULTI-MODE DIGITAL RADIO HOTSPOT: MMDVM HS HAT expansion board supports DMR, P25, YSF System Fusion and D-Star digital communication modes when installed in a compatible Raspberry Pi and Pi-Star setup.

SELECT UHF OR VHF VERSION: Choose the UHF 433-900 MHz version or the VHF 144-220 MHz version for the required operating band. These are separate board options and one board does not cover both ranges.

0.5 PPM FREQUENCY STABILITY: Uses a 32-bit ARM processor with 0.5 ppm frequency stability and up to 10 mW RF output. Firmware is preloaded and supports software-based upgrading.

RASPBERRY PI AND PI-STAR SUPPORT: Designed for compatible Raspberry Pi boards, including Raspberry Pi Zero. Onboard Tx, Rx, PTT and Mode LEDs show operating status, and a reserved connector supports an optional OLED display.

65 x 30 MM ANTENNA KIT: This onboard-antenna version also includes one separate antenna; the onboard and external antennas cannot operate simultaneously. Package includes 1 hotspot board and 1 antenna. Raspberry Pi, OLED display, case, power supply and other accessories are not included.

RASPBERRY PI INTEGRATION

GPIO HAT Installation with Pi-Star

The two GPIO socket rows mount the hotspot board on a compatible Raspberry Pi, including Raspberry Pi Zero. Firmware is preloaded and can be upgraded through supported software. Pi-Star provides the host software environment for configuration and operation.

ANTENNA AND DISPLAY OPTIONS

Use One Antenna Path at a Time

This version includes an onboard antenna path and one separate antenna. The onboard and external antennas cannot operate simultaneously; configure and use only the intended antenna path.

A connection position is reserved for an optional OLED display. The OLED screen is not included and compatibility must be confirmed before installation.

Important Compatibility Notes Select the correct UHF or VHF version before ordering. Raspberry Pi compatibility, Pi-Star configuration and operating frequencies must match the intended radio system. Direct PC connection is not plug-and-play and requires a user-provided compatibility and connection solution.
