This passive 9:1 transformer provides a convenient interface between a compatible long-wire antenna and receiver equipment with a BNC input across the supplier-specified 100 kHz–50 MHz range.

The transformer changes impedance at a 9:1 ratio to help interface a compatible high-impedance wire antenna with 50-ohm receiver equipment. It is a passive matching device—not an RF amplifier—and requires no external power.

Simple Antenna-to-Receiver Integration

Connect the compatible long-wire antenna and ground or counterpoise as indicated by the product terminals, then connect the BNC female port to the receiver with the appropriate 50-ohm coaxial cable and mating BNC connector.
