The Plantower PMS9003M PM2.5 Laser Air Quality Sensor is a high-precision digital particulate matter detection module designed for environmental monitoring, smart home systems, industrial air quality equipment, HVAC control, embedded electronics, and IoT applications.
Based on advanced laser scattering technology, the PMS9003M continuously measures airborne particulate concentration by detecting scattered light generated by suspended particles in the air. The onboard processing algorithm calculates particle size distribution and converts the collected data into accurate PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 mass concentration outputs through a standard UART digital interface.
The sensor supports detection of particles as small as 0.3μm with high counting efficiency and rapid real-time response. The integrated six-sided shielding structure improves electromagnetic interference resistance and operational stability in industrial electronic environments.
Designed for flexible embedded integration, the PMS9003M features optional airflow direction configuration to simplify mechanical design and air duct arrangement. The compact 48mm × 40mm × 12mm form factor enables installation into portable instruments, air purification devices, environmental detectors, smart appliances, industrial automation equipment, and embedded monitoring platforms.
The module operates from a 5V DC power supply and provides 3.3V TTL UART communication compatibility with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, industrial controllers, and other embedded development systems requiring reliable particulate monitoring capability.
