Dual-Pulse Spot Welder Controller Board Set

An AC 9 V powered controller set for building a compatible transformer-based spot-welding system, with separately adjustable preheat and welding pulses.

40 A Version Specifications

The 40 A value denotes the selected controller-board version. It should not be interpreted as a guaranteed welding current at the transformer secondary.

Two Adjustable Welding Pulses

The first pulse can preheat the welding area and help reduce surface oxidation. The second pulse performs the main weld. Pulse time and current proportion can be adjusted separately to suit the materials and transformer system.

Timing is set in AC cycles from 1 to 50. At 20 ms per cycle, the available setting corresponds to 0.02–1 second for each adjustable timing parameter.

Display and Control Functions

The display panel includes a three-digit readout, status indicators, an Enter/Save button, and a Select/Adjust knob. Functions include separate pulse settings, weld counting, voltage-regulation control intended to improve output consistency during supply fluctuations, and power-loss storage of the selected parameters.

System Connections

The controller provides an AC 9 V power input, a foot-switch trigger interface, a ribbon-cable display connector, and T1/T2 power-control terminals. A complete welding system requires correctly matched external components and wiring.

Electrical Safety

Power the control board only from AC 9 V. AC 110 V or AC 220 V belongs only to the external welding main circuit and its correctly matched transformer; never connect mains voltage to the AC 9 V input. Installation and testing involve hazardous voltage and high current and should be performed by a qualified person with all power disconnected.
