ADS1115 16-BIT ADC MODULE: The Elecbee LC-115 provides high-resolution delta-sigma analog-to-digital conversion for compatible microcontrollers, portable instruments, battery monitors and sensor data-acquisition systems.
8–860SPS PROGRAMMABLE DATA RATE: Select a lower conversion rate for noise-sensitive measurements or a higher rate for faster signal updates, with programmable sampling up to 860 samples per second.
FLEXIBLE MULTIPLEXED INPUTS: Configure the ADC for four single-ended measurements or two differential inputs. The channels share an internal multiplexer and are converted sequentially rather than sampled simultaneously.
PROGRAMMABLE GAIN AMPLIFIER: Select full-scale differential ranges from ±6.144V to ±0.256V for compatible large- or low-level signals. PGA settings do not allow an input pin to exceed the device’s supply-related electrical limits.
2.0–5.5V I2C INTEGRATION: Operates from a 2.0–5.5V supply and communicates through I2C. The integrated voltage reference and oscillator support compact battery monitoring, temperature sensing, instrumentation and automation projects.
The Elecbee LC-115 ADS1115 ADC Module adds high-resolution analog measurement capability to compatible microcontroller and embedded systems. The ADS1115-based design provides 16-bit delta-sigma conversion, an I2C interface and programmable data rates up to 860 samples per second.
The input multiplexer can be configured for four single-ended measurements or two differential inputs. An integrated programmable gain amplifier supports multiple full-scale ranges for compatible sensor, battery and instrumentation signals.
Module Model: LC-115
Module Type: Analog-to-digital converter module
ADC Device: ADS1115
ADC Architecture: Delta-sigma
ADC Resolution: 16-bit
Programmable Data Rate: 8–860SPS
Digital Interface: I2C
Single-Ended Inputs: Up to 4
Differential Inputs: Up to 2
Channel Configuration: Multiplexed sequential conversion
Gain Control: Programmable gain amplifier
Voltage Reference: Internal low-drift reference
Clock Source: Internal oscillator
Operating Supply: 2.0–5.5V
Terminology Note: The 16-bit specification describes ADC resolution. Conversion speed is specified separately as a programmable data rate from 8 to 860 samples per second.
Supply Note: The 2.0–5.5V value is the operating-supply range. It must not automatically be interpreted as the permissible analog measurement range.
Single-Ended Configuration: Measures up to four individual analog signals relative to the module’s ground reference.
Differential Configuration: Measures voltage differences between selected analog input combinations for compatible bridge sensors and differential signal sources.
The inputs share one ADC through an internal multiplexer. Software selects each channel before conversion, so the module does not capture all four inputs at exactly the same time.

Available Full-Scale Differential Settings:
±6.144V
±4.096V
±2.048V
±1.024V
±0.512V
±0.256V
Selecting a narrower full-scale range increases the converter’s code resolution for compatible low-level differential signals.
Electrical-Limit Warning: The ±6.144V PGA setting does not mean that an input pin may be driven to ±6.144V when the ADC uses a lower supply. Each analog input must remain within the electrical limits defined by the device supply and circuit configuration.

Connect the module supply, ground, I2C clock and I2C data signals according to the labels printed on the supplied board.
Confirm that the controller’s I2C logic level and pull-up voltage are compatible with the selected module supply. Complete all wiring before applying power.
The ADS1115 device supports multiple I2C addresses and an ALERT/RDY comparator function. Availability of these functions on the LC-115 module depends on whether the corresponding connections are exposed by the supplied board.
The LC-115 can be integrated into compatible portable instruments, battery-voltage monitors, temperature-measurement systems, consumer electronics, factory automation, process controls and general sensor data-acquisition projects.
Supply Range: Operate the module only from a compatible 2.0–5.5V supply.
Analog Protection: Do not apply a signal outside the ADC’s permitted input limits.
Sequential Sampling: Allow sufficient conversion time after switching channels.
Differential Measurement: Confirm both differential inputs remain within the permitted common-mode range.
I2C Compatibility: Verify host logic levels, pull-ups and available address connections.
