Integrate carbon dioxide measurement into monitoring equipment with NDIR sensing, UART/PWM outputs and built-in temperature compensation. Each sensor option includes a terminal cable.

NDIR Sensing with UART and PWM

The MH-Z16 uses non-dispersive infrared technology to measure CO2 concentration. UART and PWM outputs offer two signal options for connection to a suitable host system.

Power the sensor from 4.5–5.5 V DC and match the host interface to its 3.3 V logic level. Allow a 3-minute warm-up before use. Confirm pin assignments and communication settings for the selected module before connecting it.

Select the Required Measurement Range

Choose one fixed-range sensor option. These are separate sensor versions; user-switchable ranges are not specified.

For the 0–10% Vol and 0–15% Vol options, confirm the exact range and matching technical documentation before ordering. The LCD test board is a separate option and does not include a sensor.

The sensor measures 97 × 20 × 17 mm (L × W × H). Check the available installation space and allow room for the cable connection.

Use within 0–50°C and 0–95% RH under non-condensing conditions. The listed 21 g is the sensor weight, not a packaged shipping weight.

Application examples include greenhouse and agricultural monitoring, livestock facilities, HVAC equipment, indoor air quality monitoring, industrial process monitoring and teaching instruments.

Select the measurement range to suit the expected CO2 concentration. Confirm that the host electronics and software support the selected sensor version.

LCD Test Board and Included Items

Sensor options: The selected fixed-range MH-Z16 sensor and terminal cable. An LCD test board is not listed as included.

LCD test board option: A separate display test accessory for reading data from a compatible sensor module. Sensor not included. Confirm the supported model, power supply, computer connection, software and supplied cables before ordering.
