Connection and Sealing

Threaded Coupling and Cable Seals. Choose the cable seal by the actual cable outer diameter: Seal I for 9–13 mm or Seal II for 13–16 mm. Align the keying and fully engage the thread before relying on the sealed connection.

IP68 Protection When Correctly Mated. The interface seal, threaded engagement and fitted cable-entry seal work together. IP68 protection depends on correct mating, assembly and use of compatible components.

Body Formats and Mating

Choose the Connector Format. The series includes SP2910 cable, SP2911C inline, SP2912 rear-nut panel and SP2913 two-hole flange panel formats. Each format is available with male or female contacts.

Match the Mating Pair. P denotes male contacts and S denotes female contacts. A valid pair requires opposite contact gender, the same contact count and the same insert pattern; shell appearance alone is not sufficient.

Termination and Ratings

Choose the Termination. Select Solder Cup for direct conductor soldering or Screw Terminal for mechanical wire clamping. The termination is part of the SKU, and ratings must be checked for that exact configuration.

Series Technical Specifications. Reference construction includes a threaded PC/Nylon 66 shell, PPS insert, gold-plated brass contacts, a −40°C to +85°C operating range, 500 mating cycles and 2000 MΩ insulation resistance. Electrical ratings vary with contact arrangement and termination.

Solder Cup Contact Ratings. Listed Solder Cup layouts cover 2–35 contacts, 5–60 A by contact group and 400–500 V AC. The 8B and 9 layouts combine contact sizes, so current differs by contact group.

Screw Terminal Contact Ratings. Listed 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-contact configurations are rated at 30–50 A and 800 V AC. The reference conductor range varies from 0.75–4 mm² for the 5-contact layout to 4–10 mm² for the 2- and 3-contact layouts.

Installation and Configuration

Cable Connector Dimensions. Review the SP2910 and SP2911C dimensional drawings before allocating enclosure space or cable routing. Dimensions are shown in millimeters.

Panel Mounting Dimensions. Confirm the cutout, panel thickness and mounting method for SP2912 or SP2913 before machining the panel.

Build the Configuration. Confirm the body format, contact gender, face pattern, termination and cable seal. The source ordering field uses C for with cap and N for without cap; availability depends on the exact product listing.
