Elecbee 3.2W Maximum 1MHz–700MHz Broadband RF Power Amplifier

The Elecbee broadband RF power amplifier is designed to increase the power of compatible radio-frequency signals between 1MHz and 700MHz. It can be integrated into suitable shortwave radio, FM transmission, two-way radio, remote-control, data-radio and RF test systems.

The module provides a supplier-specified maximum low-frequency output of approximately 35dBm or 3.2W into a compatible 50-ohm load. Gain and output power decrease as frequency increases, so the 3.2W figure must not be interpreted as a constant output across the complete operating range.

Frequency-Dependent Gain and Output

At lower frequencies, an input of approximately 0dBm or 1mW can produce a stated maximum output of approximately 35dBm, corresponding to approximately 35dB gain.

At 500MHz, the stated input is approximately 2dBm and the output is approximately 32dBm or 1.6W. This operating point corresponds to approximately 30dB gain.

Actual performance depends on operating frequency, input level, supply stability, RF matching, load impedance, temperature and individual module variation. Refer to the supplied S21 curve and point-frequency test results when designing for a specific frequency.

15V Power and 50-Ohm Integration

Use a regulated 15V DC power source capable of supplying the amplifier\'s operating current. Verify supply polarity before connection and complete all RF and power wiring before switching on the supply.

Both RF ports are designed for compatible 50-ohm systems. Use suitable RF cables and connect the output to a correctly matched antenna, attenuator, dummy load or test instrument with adequate power-handling capacity.

The amplifier can be used in compatible shortwave radio equipment, FM transmitters, handheld-radio projects, remote-control systems, data radios, RF signal generators and engineering test setups.
