Nothing fancy, nothing crappy. Basic well done splice. I didn't see any shortcuts or any poor craftsmanship. It does not use any special components: A straightforward well done adapter.

Good UHF panel mount for the price. Installed it on a project box and it held up well. Not weatherproof as noted, so I’ll keep it indoors. Works flawlessly up to 300MHz.
